The Basics
What Is Fleet Relocation?
Fleet relocation is the coordinated transport of multiple company vehicles — from one location or many — to new destinations. Rental companies reposition inventory, businesses move vehicles for office changes and new territories, and agencies transfer units between departments.
Instead of booking each vehicle separately or pulling employees off the job to drive them, a fleet relocation plans the whole move together: one set of final prices, coordinated pickup and delivery windows, and condition documentation for every unit.
At NEXLogistix, we source carriers from our network of more than 10,000 vetted transporters and give you a final-price quote for every vehicle with $0 due at booking — so the budget is set before the first truck rolls.

One Coordinated Move vs. One Vehicle at a Time
Booking fleet vehicles one by one means more quotes, more phone calls, and more downtime. A coordinated relocation keeps it all in one plan.
| Factor | Coordinated Fleet Move | One at a Time |
|---|---|---|
| Point of contact | One team for the whole move | Separate company or order for each vehicle |
| Pricing | Final price for every unit, up front | Quotes that vary and change order to order |
| Scheduling | Pickups and deliveries planned together | Each vehicle on its own timeline |
| Paperwork | Bill of Lading for every vehicle, organized by move | Scattered across orders and carriers |
| Status updates | Updates on the whole relocation | Chasing each shipment separately |
| Downtime | Minimized with coordinated delivery | Vehicles trickle in over weeks |
Planning
Planning Your Fleet Move
The more we know up front, the smoother the move. Accurate vehicle details and site information let us match the right carriers to each lane and avoid wasted trips or delays at pickup.
Larger relocations can be moved in phases — for example, staggering deliveries so a new location has vehicles on day one while the rest arrive over the following weeks.
Have a long list? Email a spreadsheet to hello@nexlogistix.com. Most fleet vehicles ship on open carriers, with enclosed transport available for high-value units.
What We'll Need From You
- A vehicle list with year, make, model, and VIN for each unit (a spreadsheet works great).
- Pickup and delivery addresses for every location, plus an on-site contact at each.
- Your target dates — and any hard deadlines, like a lease end or branch opening.
- Which vehicles run, drive, and steer, and any known damage or modifications.
- Whether any units need enclosed transport.
- Site hours, gate codes, and any access restrictions for large trucks.
- Where the keys will be for pickup and who receives them at delivery.
Pricing
How Much Does Fleet Vehicle Transport Cost?
A fleet budget needs firm numbers. Here's what determines the price of your move.
Distance & Lanes
How far each vehicle travels and how many different origins and destinations are involved in the move.
Number of Vehicles
Multiple units moving from the same location can often share carriers, which is more efficient than one-off bookings.
Vehicle Size & Type
Full-size pickups, cargo vans, and SUVs take more trailer space and weight capacity than sedans.
Running Condition
Inoperable vehicles need a winch or liftgate and extra handling, which can add to the cost.
Open or Enclosed
Open transport is the most affordable for standard fleet vehicles. Enclosed is available when needed.
Timing & Flexibility
Flexible pickup windows give us more carriers to choose from. Tight deadlines and peak seasons cost more.
Your Quote Is Your Final Price
A relocation budget that grows mid-move is a problem for everyone. We price every vehicle up front, and the price we quote is the price you pay — with $0 due when you book.

How Fleet Relocation Works
Simple, transparent, and nothing due until carriers are on the way.
- 1
Share Your Fleet List
Send us the vehicles, origins, destinations, and timeline. Use the quote form, or email us a spreadsheet for larger moves.
- 2
Get Final Pricing
We price every vehicle up front — no per-unit surprises once the move is underway. Nothing is due when you book.
- 3
Carriers Dispatched
Vetted carriers are scheduled around your timeline. A deposit (or full payment, if you prefer) secures each spot, and every unit is inspected at pickup.
- 4
Delivered & Back in Service
Vehicles arrive at their destinations. Inspect, sign off, and pay any remaining balance directly to the driver.
Timing
How Long Does It Take?
Transit time depends mostly on distance and route. Shorter regional moves can be completed in a few days, while coast-to-coast shipments commonly take about one to two weeks from pickup.
For larger fleets, planning a few weeks ahead gives us the most carrier options and the best chance of hitting your target dates — especially during summer and other peak seasons.
Less Downtime
Back in Service Faster
Every day a fleet vehicle sits waiting on a truck is a day it isn't earning. Coordinated pickup and delivery windows are built around getting your vehicles back to work as quickly as possible.
Once carriers are dispatched, you'll receive status updates and driver contact information, and each vehicle is inspected on the Bill of Lading at pickup and delivery for a clean condition record.

FAQ
Fleet Relocation FAQs
What is fleet relocation?
Fleet relocation is the coordinated transport of multiple company-owned or managed vehicles from one or more locations to new destinations — for example, repositioning rental cars, moving a corporate fleet to a new office, or redistributing lease vehicles across regions.
How many vehicles do you need for a fleet move?
There's no strict minimum. Whether you're moving a handful of company cars or a large fleet, we'll plan it as one coordinated relocation with final pricing for every vehicle.
What types of fleet vehicles do you transport?
We regularly move cars, SUVs, light-duty pickups, and cargo and passenger vans. If your fleet includes larger or specialty vehicles, send us the details and we'll let you know what's possible.
Can you move vehicles from multiple locations at once?
Yes. Fleet moves often involve several pickup and delivery points. Share every origin and destination with your quote request, and we'll coordinate carriers across all of them.
How do I send you a large vehicle list?
For larger fleets, email a spreadsheet with each vehicle's year, make, model, VIN, pickup address, and delivery address to hello@nexlogistix.com. For smaller moves, you can add multiple vehicles directly in the quote form.
How much does fleet vehicle transport cost?
Pricing depends on distance, the number of vehicles and locations, vehicle size, running condition, open or enclosed transport, and timing. You'll receive a final price for every vehicle — not an estimate that changes after the move starts.
How long does a fleet relocation take?
Transit time depends mostly on distance. Shorter regional moves can take a few days, while coast-to-coast shipments commonly take one to two weeks. Larger fleets may be moved in phases, and planning a few weeks ahead gives us the most carrier options.
Are fleet vehicles insured during transport?
Yes. Every carrier we work with is required to carry active cargo insurance. Each vehicle's condition is documented on the Bill of Lading at pickup and checked again at delivery. Remove any loose equipment, personal items, and portable devices before pickup.
Do I have to pay upfront?
No. There's $0 due at booking. Once a carrier is assigned, you can either pay a small deposit and the remaining balance directly to the driver at delivery, or pay in full at that point so nothing is due at delivery.
Do you offer fleet relocation nationwide?
Yes. As a national auto transport broker, we coordinate fleet moves between all 48 contiguous states, from major metros to smaller markets.
